How long will it take to learn a language
Learning a foreign language requires a commitment. The time required to learn to speak Spanish will vary according to the student's personality, desire to learn, and weekly practice. Each child has a different way of learning, and a different pace. Continuity is very important when learning a foreign language; it works better if the student is exposed to the second language during the entire semester -not just as a one-time event.
Studies show it takes about seven years to become fluent in a second language. Most children learn very fast and are able to progress to more advanced levels as they continue to be exposed to the second language.
I have seen incredible progress in some students; the main factor if practice and enthusiasm at home.
Children will learn while playing and at the end of the class will recognize the basic vocabulary.

Could my younger child attend a class with older kids?
Some young children have already been exposed to a foreign language and they have memorized the basics (numbers, colors) but they don’t know how to use the words they have memorized. Santa Cruz Spanish program helps children learn and understand the Spanish language as it integrates vocabulary, songs and games making a fun way to learn effortlessly. It works better if students are teamed in groups by age, but we had made exceptions.
